In Friday's non-league game, the Southeast of Saline Trojans (Gypsum, KS) football team got by the host Clay Center Tigers (Clay Center, KS), by a score of 22-17.

The Trojans (5-0) will now prepare for their game against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, KS). The Trojans come into the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Hillsboro nipped Halstead (Halstead, KS), 30-25, in a non-league game.

The Tigers now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Concordia for a North Central Kansas game on Friday, October 6. Clay Center will battle a Panthers team coming off a 49-0 non-league win over Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
