Mississippi High School Football - Columbus knocks off New Hope

September 29, 2023: Columbus, MS 39702

The Columbus Falcons football squad scored 23 points and limited the host New Hope Trojans to 0 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Friday.

The Falcons (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Callaway (Jackson, MS). The Chargers come into the 6A Region 2 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Callaway was beaten by Forest Hill (Jackson, MS), 33-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they host Pontotoc for a 5A Region 1 challenge on Friday, October 6. New Hope will meet a Warriors team coming off a 32-13 non-league loss to New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 2-3.
