The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) and the visiting Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX), observed Cypress Springs's football squad edge Cypress Ranch by a count of 35-31.

The Panthers now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cypress Lakes for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Saturday, October 7. Cypress Springs will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 23-16 league loss to Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.

Coming up next, the Mustangs encounter the Cypress Park Tigers (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 contest, on Thursday, October 5.
