The Mountaineers (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Berwick (Berwick, PA). The Bulldogs come into the Wyoming Valley 4A challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Berwick achieved victory over Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA), 35-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crestwood for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 6. Hazleton Area will meet a Comets team coming off a 34-14 league loss to Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Comets record now stands at 2-4.
