The Elcho/White Lake Wolverines football squad scored 46 points and limited the visiting Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] Miners to 20 in the Wolverines non-league win on Friday.

The Wolverines now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Wabeno/Laona for a Northern Border (8 Man) battle on Saturday, October 7. Elcho/White Lake will play a Rebels squad coming off a 68-34 league win over Niagara (Niagara, WI). The Rebels record now stands at 3-3.

Coming up next, the Miners play the Stephenson Eagles (Stephenson, MI) in a Great Lakes - West (8 Man) battle, on Saturday, October 7. Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 0-6 record after their 2-0 league loss to North Central (Powers, MI).
