Illinois High School Football - Freeport held off by Guilford

In Friday's league game, the Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) football team tipped the visiting Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL), by a final score of 21-20.

The Vikings (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Rockford East (Rockford, IL). The E-Rabs come into the Northern Illinois game with a 1-5 record. In their last game, Rockford East was tipped by Harlem (Machesney Park, IL), 42-13, in a league game.

The Pretzels now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson for a Northern Illinois game on Friday, October 6. Freeport will battle a J-Hawks team coming off a 18-14 league loss to Belvidere (Belvidere, IL). The J-Hawks record now stands at 0-6.
