The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Litchfield/Mt. Olive (Litchfield, IL) and the host Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), observed Litchfield/Mt. Olive's football squad bounce Gillespie by a count of 53-19.

The now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton/Bunker Hill for a South Central contest on Friday, October 6. Litchfield/Mt. Olive will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 26-20 league loss to Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
