North Carolina High School Football - Murphy sneaks past Hayesville

September 29, 2023: Murphy, NC 28906

The Murphy Bulldogs football squad scored 21 points and restricted the visiting Hayesville Yellowjackets to 14 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robbinsville for a Smoky Mountain 1A battle on Friday, October 6. Murphy will face a Black Knights squad coming off a 46-6 league win over Cherokee (Cherokee, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 5-1.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets face the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A battle, on Friday, October 6. Hayesville will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the battle with a 6-0 record after their 20-0 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC).
