West Virginia High School Football - Jefferson topples Hedgesville

September 29, 2023: Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442

The Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) football defeated the visiting Hedgesville Eagles (Hedgesville, WV), 28-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars face the South Hagerstown Rebels (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 6. Jefferson will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Rebels enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 48-36 non-league win over Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD).

The Eagles (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Liberty (Sykesville, MD). The Lions enter the non-league bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, Liberty lost by Winters Mill (Westminster, MD), 21-7, in a league bout.
