The Mathis Pirates football team (Mathis, TX), was ripped 45-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX)

The Cobras (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX). The Panthers come into the 3A-1 Region IV District 15 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Aransas Pass was ripped by Palacios (Palacios, TX), 45-0, in a league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Goliad for a 3A-1 Region IV District 15 challenge on Friday, October 6. Mathis will meet a Tigers team coming off a 28-8 league win over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
