California High School Football - Yerba Buena nipped by James Lick

September 29, 2023: San Jose, CA 95127

The James Lick Comets edged the visiting Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors football squad by a tally of 15-12 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Comets face the Hill Falcons (San Jose, CA) in a West Valley bout, on Friday, October 6. James Lick will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Falcons enter the bout with a 0-5 record after their 45-0 league loss to Prospect (Saratoga, CA).

The Aztec Warriors (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against San Jose (San Jose, CA). The Bulldogs enter the West Valley bout with a 1-4 record. In their last bout, San Jose was nudged by Del Mar (San Jose, CA), 44-18, in a league bout.
