In Friday's league game, the Lejeune Devil Pups (Camp Lejeune, NC) football team smashed the visiting Jones Trojans (Trenton, NC), by a final score of 58-14.

The Devil Pups (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Pamlico County (Bayboro, NC). The Hurricanes come into the 1A/2A Coastal Plains game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Pamlico County was trounced by Southside (Chocowinity, NC), 54-20, in a league game.

The Trojans now hold a 0-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Carteret for a 1A/2A Coastal Plains game on Friday, October 6. Jones will battle a Mariners team coming off a 31-0 league loss to Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Mariners record now stands at 0-6.
