North Carolina High School Football - West Cabarrus can't get by Lake Norman

September 29, 2023: Mooresville, NC 28117

Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC), 26-23 in a league test.

With the win, Lake Norman improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC) to confront the Ragin' Bulls in a 4A Greater Metro test on Friday, October 6. The Ragin' Bulls go into the test with a record of 2-5. Hickory Ridge won 50-27 in their recent league test against South Iredell (Statesville, NC)

With the loss, West Cabarrus moves to 1-6 on the season. The Wolverines travel to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC) to confront the Wonders in a 4A Greater Metro test on Friday, October 6. The Wonders go into the test with a record of 2-4. A.L. Brown lost 38-27 in their recent league test against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)
