North Carolina High School Football - Union routed by Lakewood

The Union Spartans football team (Rose Hill, NC), was ripped 50-8 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC)

The Leopards (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Rebels come into the Carolina 1A challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, North Duplin trounced Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC), 54-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosewood for a Carolina 1A challenge on Friday, October 6. Union will meet a Eagles team coming off a 59-42 league win over Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 4-3.
