The Laurel Spartans football team (Laurel, MD), was ripped 84-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD)

The Pumas (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against DuVal (Lanham, MD). The Tigers come into the Prince George's County 4A/3A challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, DuVal Suitland (Forestville, MD), 0-0, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Parkdale for a Prince George's County 4A/3A challenge on Saturday, October 7. Laurel will meet a Panthers team coming off a 54-0 league win over High Point (Beltsville, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
