The Mandeville Skippers walloped the host Slidell Tigers football team by a count of 42-7 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Mandeville upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Skippers travel to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to confront the Green Wave in a 5A District 6 outing on Thursday, October 5. The Green Wave go into the outing with a record of 3-2. Ponchatoula lost 15-6 in their recent league bout against Northshore (Slidell, LA)

The Tigers (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Tornadoes enter the 5A District 6 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Hammond was overwhelmed by St. Paul's (Covington, LA), 23-0, in a league bout.
