The McCool Junction Mustangs football team (McCool Junction, NE), was ripped 40-8 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE)

The Mustangs (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Nebraska Christian (Central City, NE). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Nebraska Christian was ripped by Ravenna (Ravenna, NE), 56-24, in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Superior for a D1 District 8 (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 6. McCool Junction will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 26-20 league loss to Heartland (Henderson, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-6.
