    • Tennessee High School Football - McMinn County defeats Rhea County

    September 29, 2023: Evensville, TN 37332

    In Friday's league match, the visiting McMinn County Cherokees football squad scored a good 35-7 victory over the Rhea County Golden Eagles.

    In their next game, the Cherokees clash with the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers (Chattanooga, TN) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Friday, October 6. McMinn County will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Hustlin' Tigers enter the match with a 1-5 record after their 44-0 league loss to Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN).

    The Golden Eagles (3-4) will now prepare for their match against Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN). The Owls enter the 5A Region 4 match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Ooltewah dropped by East Hamilton (Ooltewah, TN), 34-21, in a league match.
