The Southwest DeKalb Panthers football team (Decatur, GA), was beaten 34-12 in Friday's league challenge with the host Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA)

The Wolverines (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Innocents Episcopal (Atlanta, GA). The Golden Bears come into the AAAA Region 6 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Holy Innocents Episcopal was beaten by Westminster (Atlanta, GA), 9-3, in a league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Hapeville Charter for a AAAA Region 6 challenge on Friday, October 6. Southwest DeKalb will meet a Hornets team coming off a 20-13 league win over Stephenson (Stone Mountain, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 3-3.
