West Virginia High School Football - Mingo Central beaten by Scott

September 29, 2023: Matewan, WV 25670

Scott Skyhawks (Madison, WV) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team run past the host Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV), 50-20 in a non-league test.

With the win, Scott improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Skyhawks travel to Logan (Logan, WV) to confront the Wildcats in a Cardinal test on Friday, October 6. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 1-4. Logan lost 48-14 in their recent non-league test against Clay County (Clay, WV)

With the loss, Mingo Central moves to 5-1 on the season. The Miners travel to Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV) to confront the Big Blacks in a Coalfield AA test on Friday, October 6. The Big Blacks go into the test with a record of 2-3. Point Pleasant won 20-13 in their recent non-league test against Fort Frye (Beverly, OH)
