Missouri High School Football - Springfield Catholic trounced by Mt. Vernon

Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the visiting Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish (Springfield, MO), 40-0 in a league test.

With the win, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Hollister (Hollister, MO) to confront the Tigers in a Big 8 - East test on Friday, October 6. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-6. Hollister lost 27-0 in their recent league test against Logan-Rogersville (Rogersville, MO)

With the loss, Springfield Catholic moves to 0-6 on the season. The Fighting irish travel to Cassville (Cassville, MO) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, October 6. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 3-3. Cassville lost 44-21 in their recent league test against Nevada (Nevada, MO)
