North Carolina High School Football - West Stanly defeats Piedmont

September 29, 2023: Oakboro, NC 28129

In Friday's league match, the host West Stanly Colts football squad scored a good 25-12 victory over the Piedmont Panthers.

In their next game, the Colts clash with the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a 2A/3A Rocky River match, on Friday, October 6. West Stanly will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the match with a 5-1 record after their 28-0 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC).

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats enter the 2A/3A Rocky River match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Anson ran past Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 34-27, in a league match.
