North Carolina High School Football - R-S Central knocked off by Polk County

September 29, 2023: Columbus, NC 28722

Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 43-12 in a league test.

With the triumph, Polk County improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Chase (Forest City, NC) to battle the Trojans in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills test on Friday, October 13. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-2.

With the loss, R-S Central drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Patton (Morganton, NC) to battle the Panthers in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills test on Friday, October 6. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 0-6. Patton lost 58-6 in their recent league test against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC)
