In Friday's non-league game, the River Pilots (Hannibal, OH) football team smashed the host Shadyside Tigers (Shadyside, OH), by a score of 53-20.
The Pilots (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Shenandoah (Sarahsville, OH). The Zeps come into the non-league game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Shenandoah was ripped by Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH), 34-26, in a non-league game.
The Tigers now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheeling Central Catholic for a Freelance game on Friday, October 6. Shadyside will battle a Maroon Knights team coming off a 64-28 non-league loss to Maret (Washington, DC). The Maroon Knights record now stands at 2-4.
