    • Tennessee High School Football - Upperman prevails Smith County

    September 29, 2023: Carthage, TN 37030

    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Upperman Bees (Baxter, TN) and the host Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN), observed Upperman's football squad defeat Smith County by a count of 14-0.

    The Bees now own a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to White House for a non-league contest on Friday, October 13. Upperman will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 21-15 league loss to Station Camp (Gallatin, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-2.

    Coming up next, the Owls encounter the Jackson County Blue Devils (Gainesboro, TN) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Friday, October 6. Smith County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Blue Devils go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 52-0 non-league win over Pickett County (Byrdstown, TN).
