In Friday's league match, the visiting St. John Fighting Herald football squad scored a close 36-33 victory over the Windham Bombers.

In their next game, the Fighting Herald clash with the Harding Skippers (Fairport Harbor, OH) in a Northeastern match, on Saturday, October 7. St. John will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Skippers enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 40-0 league loss to Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH).

The Bombers (2-5) will now prepare for their match against McDonald (McDonald, OH). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, McDonald was edged by Lowellville (Lowellville, OH), 40-6, in a league test.
