In Friday's non-league battle, the host Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Heritage Academy Heroes.
The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Tonopah Valley (Tonopah, AZ). The Phoenix come into the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Tonopah Valley went down by Odyssey Institute (Buckeye, AZ), 2-0, in a league battle.
