Wood Memorial Trojans (Oakland City, IN) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Barr-Reeve Vikings (Montgomery, IN), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans confront the North Posey Vikings (Poseyville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 3. Wood Memorial will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Vikings enter the challenge with a 4-12 record after their 2-1 league loss to Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN).

The Vikings now have a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northeast Dubois for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Barr-Reeve will confront a Jeeps team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Tell City (Tell City, IN). The Jeeps record now stands at 12-1.
