Colorado High School Soccer - Vail Mountain nudges Crested Butte

Vail Mountain Gore Rangers (Vail, CO) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Crested Butte Titans (Crested Butte, CO), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gore Rangers face the Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO) in a 3A/2A Western Slope challenge, on Saturday, September 30. Vail Mountain will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record. The Cowboys enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Coal Ridge (New Castle, CO).
The Titans now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Caprock Academy for a 2A Intermountain challenge on Tuesday, October 3. Crested Butte will face a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 league win over Ridgway (Ridgway, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
