The Neosho Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting McDonald County Mustangs to 6 in the Wildcats league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Neosho improves its record to 23-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Carthage (Carthage, MO) to clash with the Tigers in a Class 4 District 12 game on Tuesday, October 3. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 13-12. Carthage lost 8-7 in their recent league match against Republic (Republic, MO)

With the loss, McDonald County moves to 9-11 on the season. The Mustangs host Monett (Monett, MO) to face the Cubs in a non-league match on Tuesday, October 3. The Cubs go into the match with a record of 14-6.
