The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) and the host Paint Branch Panthers (Burtonsville, MD), saw Magruder's volleyball squad nip Paint Branch by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, Magruder upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Colonels travel to Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 25. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

The Panthers now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Springbrook for a Montgomery County 4A - North bout on Monday, October 2. Paint Branch will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-2.
