North Country Union Falcons (Newport, VT) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the host Harwood Highlanders (Moretown, VT), 2-1 in a league outing.

The Falcons (8-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT). The Vikings go into the Capital outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Lyndon Institute was edged by Stowe (Stowe, VT), 7-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Highlanders confront the Spaulding Crimson Tide (Barre, VT) in a Capital outing, on Friday, October 3. Harwood will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Crimson Tide go into the outing with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league win over Lake Region (Orleans, VT).
