Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) fans went home in high spirits Monday as they saw their football team tip the visiting McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), 14-7 in a non-league test.

The Owls now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Soddy Daisy for a non-league test on Monday, October 6. Ooltewah will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 21-14 non-league loss to Walker Valley (Cleveland, TN). The Trojans record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, McMinn County drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Cherokees travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, October 6. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Sweetwater won 32-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN)
