Waldron Mohawks (Waldron, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Edinburgh Lancers (Edinburgh, IN), 2-0 in a league test.
With the win, Waldron improves its record to 6-12 on the season. The Mohawks host North Decatur (Greensburg, IN) to face the Chargers in a test on Thursday, October 2. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 1-3.
The Lancers now own a 2-1 record.
Match Summary
A real close match with the Lancers but the girls stayed focused at the end of each set and pulled out the victory! I love the "never-give-up" attitude and approach they are bringing to the court. It was another night of balanced effort and team work. Maleah had the Play of the Game when she immediately went over to check on the Edinburgh student that took one of her balls to the face. Beautiful sportsmanship, Maleah. Kendal & Lilly had great team spirit all night whether on the floor or on the court. Izzy earned the Hustle award as she played great defense both at the net and backrow. Abby receives the MaxPreps Player of the Game award. She bounced back with a good overall performance after recovering from a sprained ankle last week.
