Palmerton Blue Bombers (Palmerton, PA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Jim Thorpe Olympians (Jim Thorpe, PA), 2-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Palmerton moves its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Blue Bombers host Salisbury Township (Allentown, PA) to meet the Falcons in a Colonial test on Thursday, October 2. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 3-10.

The Olympians now sport a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palisades for a Colonial outing on Wednesday, October 1. Jim Thorpe will confront a Pirates squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Schuylkill Haven (Schuylkill Haven, PA). The Pirates record now stands at 11-3.
