Fans at Monday's league battle between the Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN) and the visiting South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN), saw Washington's soccer squad triumph over South Spencer by a count of 8-2.

The Hatchets (9-5) will now prepare for their match against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IN). The Wildcats come into the Pocket match with a 2-13 record. In their last match, Mt. Vernon was overwhelmed by Evansville Reitz (Evansville, IN), 8-0, in a non-league match.

The Rebels now sport a 4-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage Hills for a Pocket match on Thursday, October 2. South Spencer will confront a Patriots squad coming off a 2-2 non-league Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 10-3.
