Nebraska High School Softball - Grand Island topped by North Platte

North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE) fans went home satisfied Monday as they witnessed their softball team gain a win over the host Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 12-0 in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now possess a 17-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highway 6 for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 2. North Platte will play a Trailblazers squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Centura (Cairo, NE). The Trailblazers record now stands at 7-10.

The Islanders (6-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE). The Links come into the A District battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Lincoln High ran past Benson (Omaha, NE), 13-2, in a league battle.
