Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA) and the host East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA), observed Clayton-Ridge's volleyball team hold off East Buchanan by a count of 2-1.

The Eagles (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA). The Chickasaws enter the non-league contest with a 7-8 record.

The Buccaneers now own a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oelwein for a non-league battle on Monday, September 29. East Buchanan will meet a Huskies team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 5-8.
