    Alma Cardinals (Alma, NE) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE), 40-38 in a non-league test.

    With the win, Alma improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cardinals host Hitchcock County (Trenton, NE) to confront the Falcons in a non-league test on Friday, September 10. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 2-0. Hitchcock County won 72-6 in their recent non-league test against Bayard (Bayard, NE)

    With the loss, Medicine Valley moves to 1-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Sandhills Valley (Stapleton, NE) to confront the Mavericks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 9. The Mavericks go into the test with a record of 1-1. Sandhills Valley won 28-13 in their recent non-league test against Overton (Overton, NE)
