The University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) football overcame the visiting Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV), 62-33 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Hawks face the Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV) in a Two Rivers bout, on Friday, September 10. University will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Bruins enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 28-13 non-league win over Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH).
The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Capital (Charleston, WV). The Cougars enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Capital was toppled by South Charleston (South Charleston, WV), 42-21, in a league bout.
