New York High School Football - Lakeland defeats Walter Panas

In Saturday's league match, the visiting Lakeland Hornets football squad scored a good 23-8 victory over the Walter Panas Panthers.

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Nyack Red Hawks (Upper Nyack, NY) in a Section 1 A - League B match, on Friday, September 9. Lakeland will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

The Panthers (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY). The Dutchmen enter the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Tappan Zee ran past Ramapo (Spring Valley, NY), 34-8, in a league match.
