Delaware High School Football - William Penn drops to Sussex Central

September 3, 2022: New Castle, DE 19720

In Saturday's non-league game, the Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE) football team knocked off the host William Penn Colonials (New Castle, DE), by a final score of 39-14.

The Golden Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Salesianum (Wilmington, DE). The Sallies come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Salesianum toppled Cape Henlopen (Lewes, DE), 28-21, in a non-league game.

The Colonials now hold a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Penn Wood for a non-league game on Saturday, September 10. William Penn will battle a Patriots team coming off a 29-20 non-league loss to Avon Grove (West Grove, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
