Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots face the Bexley Lions (Columbus, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 5. Parkersburg South will attempt to better on its 6-0 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-2 league win over Worthington Christian (Worthington, OH).
The Colts now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten challenge on Tuesday, September 6. Philip Barbour will face a Polar Bears team coming off a 9-0 league win over Lewis County (Weston, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 2-0.
