Brattleboro Colonels (Brattleboro, VT) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Green Mountain Chieftains (Chester, VT), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Colonels face the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 13. Brattleboro will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Mount Anthony (Bennington, VT).

The Chieftains now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodstock for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 9.
