Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros (Chicago, IL) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Cristo Rey St. Martin Knights (Waukegan, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Cristeros confront the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 10. Cristo Rey Jesuit will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record.
The Knights now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Rochelle Zell Jewish for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 7. Cristo Rey St. Martin will confront a Tigers team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Beacon Academy (Evanston, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
