In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Mount Anthony Patriots soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers.
The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Otter Valley (Brandon, VT). The Otters come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
The Hilltoppers (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Brattleboro (Brattleboro, VT). The Colonels come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Brattleboro nudged Green Mountain (Chester, VT), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
