Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays (Ashland, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bluejays now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Syracuse for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 6. Ashland-Greenwood will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 22-8 non-league loss to Auburn (Auburn, NE). The Rockets record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Crete falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Aurora (Aurora, NE) to battle the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 8. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 6-3.
