The Berthoud Spartans softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Severance Silver Knights to 0 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Berthoud moves its record to 5-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to University (Greeley, CO) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 3A/4A Patriot game on Thursday, September 8. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 6-5.

In their next game, the Silver Knights clash with the Thompson Valley Eagles (Loveland, CO) in a 4A Longs Peak game, on Tuesday, September 6. Severance will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 2-7 record after their 17-12 league win over Skyline (Longmont, CO).
