Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Pueblo West Cyclones (Pueblo West, CO) and the host Elizabeth Cardinals (Elizabeth, CO), witnessed Pueblo West's softball squad tip Elizabeth by a count of 5-1.

The Cyclones now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pueblo Centennial for a 4A South Central contest on Tuesday, September 6. Pueblo West will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 13-9 non-league loss to Widefield (Colorado Springs, CO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Falcon Falcons (Falcon, CO) in a 4A/3A CSML North contest, on Tuesday, September 6. Elizabeth will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 21-0 league win over Mitchell (Colorado Springs, CO).
