The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) volleyball overcame the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 8-0 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to face the Indians in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 3. The Indians go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Rural Retreat lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA)

The Maroon Tide now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 3. Galax will face a Bears squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA). The Bears record now stands at 8-0.
